Cucumber Frozen Dog Treats

Refreshing homemade frozen dog treats made with cucumber, plain Greek yogurt, and a small amount of natural peanut butter. These cool bites are easy to prepare and perfect as an occasional warm weather snack.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup cucumber peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt unsweetened and xylitol free
  • 1 tablespoon natural peanut butter xylitol free

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Wash, peel, and chop the cucumber into small pieces.
  2. Add the cucumber, plain Greek yogurt, and peanut butter to a blender.
  3. Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour the mixture into small silicone molds.
  5. Place the molds in the freezer and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until completely firm.
  6. Remove a treat from the mold and allow it to soften slightly before serving.
Recipe Notes
  1. Use plain unsweetened Greek yogurt and peanut butter that contains no xylitol or other unsafe sweeteners. Check the ingredient labels carefully.
  2. Serve these treats in moderation as an occasional snack. They should not replace your dog's regular complete and balanced food.
  3. For dogs with food allergies, sensitive stomachs, or veterinarian prescribed diets, check with your veterinarian before introducing new treats.
