Easy Crockpot Dog Food

This easy homemade crockpot dog food combines lean ground turkey, brown rice, carrots, green beans, and pumpkin into a simple homemade meal for dogs.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds ground turkey lean and unseasoned
  • 1 cup brown rice uncooked
  • 1 cup carrots chopped
  • 1 cup green beans chopped
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree plain and unsweetened
  • 4 cups water

  • 1 | Slow cooker For slowly cooking the ingredients until tender.1 | Cutting board For preparing the vegetables.1 | Chef's knife For chopping the vegetables into small pieces.1 | Mixing spoon For combining the cooked ingredients.

Method
 

  1. Add the ground turkey to the slow cooker and break it into smaller pieces.
  2. Add the brown rice, carrots, green beans, pumpkin puree, and water.
  3. Stir the ingredients gently to distribute them evenly.
  4. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low until the turkey is thoroughly cooked and the rice and vegetables are tender, about 6 hours.
  5. Stir the mixture well and check that the turkey is fully cooked.
  6. Allow the food to cool completely before portioning and serving.
Recipe Notes
  1. Use plain, unseasoned ingredients. Avoid onion, garlic, excessive salt, seasoning blends, and cooked bones.
