A simple homemade cat food recipe made with cooked chicken and plain ingredients for an easy meal or topper. This recipe is best used occasionally unless properly formulated to meet your cat’s complete nutritional needs.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup cooked chicken breast boneless skinless, and unseasoned
  • 1/4 cup cooked pumpkin plain and unsweetened
  • 1/4 cup cooked white rice plain
  • 1/2 cup warm water

Method
 

  1. Cook the chicken thoroughly without adding salt, onion, garlic, oil, or seasonings.
  2. Allow the chicken to cool slightly, then remove any bones, skin, or excess fat.
  3. Shred or finely chop the chicken into small pieces.
  4. Add the cooked chicken, pumpkin, and rice to a clean mixing bowl.
  5. Pour in the warm water and gently mix until the ingredients are evenly combined.
  6. Allow the food to cool completely before serving.
Recipe Notes
  1. Serve this homemade recipe as an occasional meal or topper alongside your cat's regular complete and balanced food. It should not be considered a complete long term diet unless it has been professionally formulated to meet feline nutritional requirements.
  2. Avoid onion, garlic, salt, seasoning blends, cooked bones, and other ingredients that may be harmful to cats.
