A simple homemade chicken recipe for cats made with cooked chicken and other cat friendly ingredients. This recipe is best used as an occasional homemade meal or topper alongside a complete and balanced cat food.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup cooked chicken breastboneless skinless, unseasoned
  • 1/4 cup cooked white riceplain no seasoning
  • 1/4 cup cooked pumpkin plain, unsweetened
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 cup cooked chicken breast boneless skinless, unseasoned
  • 1/4 cup cooked white rice plain no seasoning
  • 1/4 cup cooked pumpkin plain unsweetened
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • Important: If your actual article recipe uses different ingredients or quantities use those exact ingredients instead. Don't add rice, pumpkin, or water simply because they're common homemade cat food ingredients.

Method
 

  1. Step 1:
  2. Cook the chicken thoroughly until fully cooked through. Do not add salt, onion, garlic, spices, butter, or seasoning.

  4. Allow the cooked chicken to cool slightly, then remove any bones, skin, or visible fat and shred the meat into small pieces.

  6. Prepare the rice and pumpkin separately, making sure they are completely plain and free from seasonings.
  7. Step 4:
  8. Combine the shredded chicken, cooked rice, and pumpkin in a clean bowl.

  10. Add the warm water and mix until the ingredients are evenly combined and reach a soft, moist consistency.

  12. Allow the food to cool to a safe serving temperature before offering it to your cat.
