Cooling Dog Treats for Summer Days

These refreshing homemade frozen dog treats combine blueberries, plain Greek yogurt, and water for a simple cooling snack your dog can enjoy on warm summer days.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt unsweetened and xylitol free
  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries washed
  • 1/2 cup water

Method
 

  1. Wash the blueberries thoroughly and add them to a blender.
  2. Add the plain Greek yogurt and water.
  3. Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour the mixture into small silicone molds.
  5. Place the molds in the freezer and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until completely firm.
  6. Remove a treat from the mold and allow it to soften slightly before giving it to your dog.
Recipe Notes
  1. Use plain, unsweetened Greek yogurt that does not contain xylitol or other artificial sweeteners. Introduce new treats gradually and serve them in moderation.
  2. These treats can provide a refreshing snack, but they should not be relied upon as a way to prevent or treat heatstroke. Make sure your dog has access to fresh drinking water and a cool place during hot weather.
