Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Add the oat flour, pumpkin puree, and egg to a mixing bowl.
  3. Stir until the ingredients begin to form a dough.
  4. Add the water gradually until the dough is firm and easy to roll. Avoid making it overly wet.
  5. Place the dough on a lightly floured surface and roll it to about 1/4 inch thick.
  6. Cut the dough into small, dog friendly shapes using a cookie cutter.
  7. Arrange the biscuits on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for about 30 to 35 minutes, or until the biscuits are firm and dry.
  9. For a drier, crunchier biscuit, turn off the oven and leave the biscuits inside for another 20 to 30 minutes with the door slightly open.
  10. Allow the biscuits to cool completely before storing.

  1. The key to making homemade biscuits last longer is removing as much moisture as possible. Make sure the biscuits are completely cool and dry before placing them in an airtight container.
  2. Because homemade treats do not contain commercial preservatives, I would not promise that they will safely last for several weeks at room temperature. For longer storage, refrigerate or freeze them.
  3. Always discard treats if you notice mold, unusual odor, moisture, or other signs of spoilage.
  4. These biscuits are treats and should be given in moderation alongside your dog's regular complete and balanced food.
