Vet Friendly Frozen Dog Treats

These simple homemade frozen dog treats are made with plain Greek yogurt, blueberries, and water for a refreshing occasional snack on warm days.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt unsweetened and xylitol free
  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries washed
  • 1/2 cup water

Equipment

  • 1 | Blender For blending the ingredients into a smooth mixture.1 | Silicone mold For shaping the frozen treats.1 | Measuring cup For measuring the ingredients.

Method
 

  1. Wash the blueberries thoroughly and remove any stems.
  2. Add the blueberries, plain Greek yogurt, and water to a blender.
  3. Blend until the mixture is smooth and evenly combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into small silicone molds.
  5. Place the molds in the freezer and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until completely firm.
  6. Remove a treat from the mold and allow it to soften slightly before serving.
Recipe Notes
  1. Use plain, unsweetened Greek yogurt that does not contain xylitol or other artificial sweeteners. Introduce new treats gradually and serve them in moderation.
  2. These treats are intended as an occasional snack and should not replace your dog's regular complete and balanced food.
  3. If your dog has food allergies, digestive problems, diabetes, or is following a veterinarian prescribed diet, check with your veterinarian before introducing new treats.
